It's always nice to be recognized for outstanding care, and the hospitals of Meridian Health have received their share of awards.
So have our nurses. In fact, the hospitals of Meridian Health are the first in the region to have received the prestigious Magnet award for nursing excellence three times. The Magnet award is bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the nation's largest and foremost nursing accrediting and credentialing organization.
Ocean Medical Center also received the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence, one of the highest recognitions in the nation for quality critical care standards and dedication to the exceptional care of patients and their families. Additionally, Ocean has been named one of the safest hospitals in the state of New Jersey by Forbes Magazine. Finally, in 2010 & 2011, Ocean Medical Center was voted "the best" hospital in Ocean County by the Asbury Park Press Reader's Choice Awards.
Ocean Medical Center was included in the 2011-2012 Best Hospitals metro area rankings released by U.S. News & World Report and was ranked high-performing in Gastroenterology.
