About Our Pediatric Services
When your child requires hospitalization, it's comforting to know that Ocean Medical Center provides the health care you need along with a caring touch.
Our recently renovated Pediatric Unit includes six beds and a playroom for our young patients. We offer Level II neonatology for infants who need more intensive observation after birth, and we also have a Pediatric Hospitalist on-site during the high volume hours. Each room has a television, VCR, and telephone. Parents are allowed to stay with their child 24 hours a day, enjoying guest trays, shower facilities, and free television service.
Additionally, our new Pediatric Emergency Center provides a private and comfortable area adjacent to the emergency department that is staffed with board certified, emergency trained pediatricians and pediatric nurses. The Pediatric Emergency Center is available seven days a week during the busiest hours, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m, complimenting our emergency services that we provide to children and adults 24 hours a day.
And of course, our affiliation with K.Hovnanian Children’s Hospital gives us seamless access to intensive care expertise as well as pediatric subspecialties.
