Sleep Care Center
About Our Sleep Care Center
One night could clear up a lifetime of sleeping problems
One overnight study within our home-like facility provides the information our specialists need to diagnose and treat your sleeping problem. We help you find relief from the symptoms and disorders that have such a negative impact on your sleeping, as well as your waking hours.
Prior to your overnight visit, you will first meet with your physician to evaluate your medical history, perform a physical exam, and discuss emotional factors that could be affecting your sleep. You are also welcome to take a tour of our facility and see the bedroom suites where sleep studies take place.
We combine the latest technology with a home-like atmosphere
It if is determined that you could benefit from a nighttime study, you will find that our bedroom suites are comfortable and private - much more like a guest room than a typical hospital room - where you are free to relax with a book, game, or music brought from your home. Our facility offers a patient lounge equipped with a television, bathroom and shower facilities, and a kitchen area with refrigerator and microwave oven. All of these amenities are part of our overall patient-oriented environment, designed to reduce stress so often associated with medical tests.
A sleep technician will be located in a separate room, and will record your sleep through sensors placed on your skin. Also, a small video camera will record your sleep study. You will be able to speak to a technologist via an in-room intercom.
What can a night of testing tell us?
Ocean's overnight testing provides a comprehensive record of your sleep patterns, leg movements, blood oxygen levels, heart rhythm, breathing and snoring. Your test results are promptly evaluated by our board certified sleep specialists and will be sent to your personal physician along with a diagnosis and recommendations for treatment.
