About Our Cancer Center
At Ocean Medical Center, patients and their families receive quality care deliverd by caring and compassionate experts, with the benefits and convenience of being close to home. In addition to the host of services available at Ocean, the medical center is part of Meridian Cancer Care. This provides patients and their families seamless access to Meridian Health physicians, technology, therapies, support, education, and home services provided across two counties and in four sister medical centers.
Ocean Medical Center has been granted the American College of Surgeons (AcoS) Commission on Cancer accreditation with commendation for its cancer program, an achievement earned by less than one third of all cancer programs across the country. This endorsement verifies the exceptional level of expertise and quality care that is delivered to each and every patient.
Patients will find a full continuum of cancer services at Ocean Medical Center. This includes a dedicated inpatient oncology unit, outpatient infusion center, advanced radiation oncology, cancer clinical trials and a genteics program.
The backbone of Ocean’s cancer program is the expert and highly regarded physicians trained at the finest cancer institutions, and skilled and compassionate nurses and allied health professionals who make up the dedicated cancer care teams across the system. These dedicated professionals pool their knowledge to review cases and reach a consensus regarding the best course of treatment for each individual.
