Ocean Care Center
About Our Ocean Care Center
Prompt TREATMENT for minor emergencies - AROUND the clock, AROUND the corner
Round-the-Clock Care
Immediate hospital-level emergency care without the sometimes unavoidable inconveniences of a busy hospital emergency room. That's what Ocean Care Center provides day in and day out to the community we serve. And that's why we've become so valuable to area residents since we first opened our doors years ago as the satellite emergency department of the Ocean Medical Center in Brick, a member of the trusted Meridian Health Family.
As a satellite emergency department, Ocean Care Center is fully qualified and equipped to treat virtually all kinds of minor emergencies — like broken bones, sprains, cuts requiring stitches, burns, and stomach ailments — but we can do so away from the sometimes frantically paced ER of a busy hospital and without the need for patients to make an appointment with a doctor's office. And because Ocean Care Center was New Jersey's very first satellite emergency department, we have more experience under our belt than any other facility of this type in the state. This well-founded expertise translates into exceptional care for our patients offered in a friendly and accessible location. Our new spacious facility is outfitted with eight patient bays, three exam rooms, and a private family consultation room. We accept both walk-in and ambulance-transported patients, we have recently expanded our host of services, and although we're always staffed and prepared to meet common urgent care needs, we're also able to deliver life-saving medical attention right when necessary.
When it comes to immediate, first-rate care for life's minor emergencies —
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, right in your own community — Ocean Care Center is the right place to be.
Comprehensive Services
Ocean Care Center is proud to offer our community a wide range of services delivered at all times of the day and night by a highly qualified, very attentive staff. Our staff consists of:
- Emergency Department Physicians
- Emergency-Trained Registered Nurses
- Lab and X-ray Technicians
- Support Personnel
This dedicated group of professionals provides care in the following treatment areas:
- Medical treatment of all types of non-acute injuries and illnesses (for example, lacerations, asthma attacks, sports injuries, breaks and sprains)
- Laboratory Services (including blood work and drawings)
- Limited Diagnostic Imaging (e.g., X-ray and our new CT scan service for outpatient radiology needs)
- Hospital Pre-registration & Pre-admission Testing (for Ocean Medical Center surgical and outpatient clients)
Furthermore, we have onsite defibrillators, EKG capabilities, and cardiac monitors to attend to patients with heart-related conditions.
Please remember that Ocean Care Center's main purpose is to service relatively minor injuries — any critical patients who come in with life-threatening problems will be quickly stabilized here, and then local EMTs will transport them as needed to one of Meridian's acute care hospitals or trauma centers. Yet for all other non-acute ailments, we are completely committed to providing essential emergency services to both area residents and Shore vacationers. We pledge to evaluate and treat you courteously and promptly — in many cases, faster than you would be attended to in a full-service ER.
Taking good care of our neighbors when emergencies interrupt their lives is the top priority of Ocean Care Center. Our doors are always open to you.
