About the DEXA Scan Procedure
A Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) test is a radiation test which assesses a person's bone density. The DEXA test is a painless 10 - 20 minute procedure that focuses on the hip and spine to predict fractures at other parts of the body. A physician's prescription is required.
