Ocean Medical Center Health Library
The Information Resources Center's goals are to provide timely, high quality medical information in a cost-effective manner in order to enhance the medical care offered by OMC physicians, nursing and allied health staff, to provide consumer health information in the proper level of comprehension to patrons of the public sector, and to provide information useful to the administration of OMC for the determination of the most ethical, cost-effective and appropriate policy decisions for OMC.

Team members also have access to Pub Med Central, the National Library of Medicine's free digital archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature and NCBI bookshelf, the National Library of Medicine's collection of electronic books
- Computers
There are 4 computers located in the Information Resource Center for use on a first-come, first-served basis. Each computer has Internet access, bibliographic databases in medicine (MEDLINE), nursing (CINAHL), health administration (HealthSTAR), evidence-based medicine, consumer health, Microsoft's Word (word processing), Excel (spreadsheet), PowerPoint (presentation) software.
