Message to the Community

If you’ve ever had to search for skilled nursing for a loved one, you know how important it is to find experienced, trusted, and caring help. That’s why I’m pleased to introduce you to two new additions to Meridian Health’s comprehensive family of health care services, both of which offer you just that: Manor by the Sea, a recently acquired 120-bed skilled nursing facility located in Ocean Grove; and Meridian Subacute Rehabilitation, a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Wall.

First opened in 1994, Manor by the Sea offers both private and semiprivate long-term care accommodations, staffed by a team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, therapists, social workers, and other support staff. In addition to concentrating on the delivery of exceptional medical services, the staff focuses on getting people moving through physical, speech, and occupational therapy. In fact, Manor by the Sea has succeeded in setting itself apart from other long-term care facilities by regularly achieving the highest ratings from the State Department of Health, earning a well-deserved reputation for clinical excellence.

Meridian Subacute Rehabilitation is a new 130-bed facility boasting advanced rehabilitative programs and services, accompanied by such innovative and unique features as a rehabilitation gym twice the size typically found at a subacute facility, private rooms and baths, entertainment lounges, and common areas for family visiting.

As valued members of Meridian Health’s family, both facilities can now offer patients direct access to our comprehensive continuum of care through our four highly respected hospitals, our myriad outpatient centers and community services, and an incredible staff.
