  • A study of more than 7,000 men found a link between their perception of their exercise habits and their risk for heart troubles. Those who said they exercised moderately had a 19 percent lower risk of later developing heart disease than did men who rated their effort as less intense. And making a "somewhat strong" effort cut the risk by 38 percent.
