In collaboration with Jersey Coast Vascular Institute, Ocean Medical Center designed a new endovascular surgical suite which combines innovative technology with outpatient surgery center-like efficiency and atmosphere. In fact, it is the first endovascular surgical suite in New Jersey with a dedicated recovery room and the Siemens’ AXIOM Artis system, an advanced interventional system. This system facilitates the broadest range of vascular interventional and diagnostic procedures by providing superior patient access and can capture 3D images from almost every angle while significantly reducing exposure to radiation. . The suite also contains a separate control room for X-rays and other imaging techniques which allow our staff to perform a wide array of procedures including angiography, balloon angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy. The center has the added advantage of being a licensed operating room which facilitates rapid response to treatment complications.
