The Tree of Life — A Memorial & Tribute Gift Program
Currently there are two (2) beautiful sculptures at the front entrance of Ocean Medical Center. Known as the Tree of Life, the sculptures are specifically designed bronze memorials offering permanent recognition to donors whose thoughtful generosity helps to advance the services of Ocean Medical Center. In this way, donors may express sympathy to a bereaved family, perpetuate a memory of a loved one, honor an individual family member or close friend, or show appreciation to a physician or hospital employee.
In appreciation of a gift of $100, the name of the person the donor wishes to honor or memorialize will be engraved on one of the leaves of the Tree of Life. Special recognition is accorded donors of a gift of $500 by engraving their name and the one they wish to honor or memorialize on a stone at the foundation of the Tree of Life.
The Ocean Medical Center Association appreciates that the growth of Ocean Medical Center must be nourished by the generous support of those it serves. Rising costs and increasing government restrictions on the reimbursement of hospital services makes it impossible to keep pace with advances in modern health care without help from others. Therefore, The Association erected the Tree of Life in 1985 and, as the Tree of Life Program itself grows, it ensures the growth of the Ocean Medical Center.
